House Rules

No smoking indoors. Restrictions on parties. No Pets. Booked guest agrees to cover any damage or loss created by them or their group . The owner/host (Lisa) must be informed of any outside guests not included in the original booking. Any extra guests after 12 people must be paid for. Noise minimized after 11 pm. No illegal drug use. No running or jumping in the house. No cooking food with lingering odours.

The space
Sandalwood is a large, luxurious, ambient and spacious home. Set on 3 acres in a tropical setting, completely surrounded by native bush. A bird lover's paradise with local parrots, lorakeets & cockatoos visiting the deck. Bellbirds are prolific throughout the valley. Wifi & Foxtel Platinum with spacious lounge/living areas and deluxe gourmet kitchen. Microwave, Tea/Coffee making, gas stove, stainless steel appliances, Dishwasher, LG Fridge double door with ice and water dispenser. 2 Bathrooms with free standing baths. One shower & toilet downstairs. 2 Rooms with King Beds and 4 rooms with Queen size beds. There is also a large rumpus room in addition to the main living area. Air Conditioning, fireplace, ceiling fans, large deck overlooking valley with dining, lounge area & BBQ, Separate swimming pool & spa in a Balinese Pavilion. Wireless Internet, iron/ironing board, iPod Dock, Sheets & towels provided, Washing Machine, Dryer located in downstairs laundry.
Guest access
Outdoor swimming pool and spa with a Balinese Pavilion available for guest use from 8am until 10pm. Grounds are available for guest use.
Additional notes
Caretakers for the property live on-site in a separate cottage.
Definitely no schoolies or weddings. All guests must be accounted for and hosts notified of any extra guests. Charges apply of $45pp per night for any extra guests after 12 people. No loud parties, noise must be minimized after 11 pm or at the host's request.
Guest interaction
Caretaker/owners live in a separate cottage on the property. We are available to answer questions during your stay and on arrival but otherwise make ourselves scarce.
Neighborhood overview
Avoca Beach on the Central Coast of NSW features rocky headlands at each end of a long, golden beach. Popular as a holiday destination, especially for families, it has a vibrant surf culture and a relaxed and friendly ambience. There are lots of fun things to do, including fishing, beach walking, exploring the nearby parks and headlands, and simply relaxing in a quiet place. Paddle boats, local picture theatre, close to the nightlife of Terrigal & Erina Fair Shopping centre. Great cafes and local restaurants nearby. Explore the Ex-HMAS Adelaide Dive Site.
Go for a dip at Avoca beach.
See a film at the Avoca Picture Theatre.
Hire a kayak or paddle board at Avoca Lake.
The Avoca Beach side Markets are held on the fourth Sunday of the month at the Heazlett Park Foreshore. There are over 100 stalls, with everything from home-wares, local arts and crafts, to artisan and international foods. With the ocean as its backdrop, this bustling community market is worth checking out.
Avoca has plenty of activities for the whole family. Pack a picnic and visit Aquafun Avoca Lake to hire a paddleboat, or teach the kids to surf at Avoca Beach itself. There is also a comfortable, family friendly cinema in town, as well as a number of child-friendly cafes/restaurants, Pub & Bowling Club.
Getting around
On site parking for vehicles. Bus stop on the corner of the property with regular services. Local taxis and courtesy bus to local pubs, clubs and restaurants available.
